Enhancement of the Rutting Resistance of Asphalt Mixtures at Different High Temperatures Using Waste Polyethylene Polymer

The temperature and stress caused by the load can be cited as two main parameters leading to breakage in asphalt pavement, especially rutting (permanent deformation). So, reduce problems of roads, several actions have been taken, including improving pavement quality structure design methods. increase attention respective engineers last few years modify improve performance through providing different types additives replacing raw materials mixture with recycled environment cost modified mixture. This study discussed use low-density waste polyethylene an modifier percentages (2, 4, 6) % weight their impact on mixtures at high temperatures. showed that using plastic (low-density polyethylene) a bitumen improved was achieved reducing rut depth (80.5) (82.3) temperatures 50 C 60 C, respectively, optimum value about 4% addition enhancing Marshall stability this percentage polymer.
